When I became Wesley's human Kleenex on Saturday, I knew I was biding my time until I got his cold. Today I am in the full flurry of a head cold, and am I thankful that we bought Puffs Plus in bulk recently!
Whenever I am sick I always want soup. It's the end of our grocery month and my cupboards are getting bare. Not a can of soup to crack open in sight. Probably just as well, because I wouldn't be able to decide on what to have anyways. I didn't have enough foresight to start something earlier in the morning, so I figured I'd just throw some 'stuff' in the soup pot. Not only did it turn out good, it met all of my cravings--sweet, salty, hot.
I don't like naming food that I whip up, because somehow the title just becomes a long run-on ingredient list instead of something catchy.
Here's what I whipped up on the fly:
1 can cream style corn
12 frozen tater tots
1/2 cup broth
1/2 tsp curry powder
Put it all in my soup pot, brought to a boil, and then took the masher tool to it. This worked nicely to break up the tots. Dump in bowl and dip in spoon. Bring to mouth, enjoy, and repeat until finished!
